Traditional men's vest from Rhodopean region

Men’s Rhodope Dolama by Bozov Style – a remarkable example of traditional Rhodope attire, combining masterful craftsmanship with the richness of Bulgarian gaitan (braided cord) decoration.

Made from thick brown woollen fabric, the dolama features distinctive, hand-applied black braided cords that outline the front, sleeves and edges of the garment. Particularly striking are the intricate ornaments adorning the sleeves – intertwined lines, spirals and curves that create a richly textured, raised decoration.

The combination of earthy brown and deep black gives the dolama a strong, dignified and imposing appearance, characteristic of traditional men's clothing from the Rhodope Mountains.

The dolama can be worn with a traditional shirt and poturi (traditional men's trousers) as part of a complete folk costume, or as a standalone garment for stage performances, folklore festivals and special occasions.
