Shopi Heritage Costume – Tran Region, Bulgaria

Born in the raw and striking landscapes of the Tran region, this Shopi costume is a faithful recreation of an authentic model, preserving the spirit of Western Bulgaria.

The costume is crafted entirely from natural materials – 100% soft wool and steamed cotton.

The set includes a long embroidered shirt, featuring rich traditional motifs symbolizing protection and vitality, a sleeveless wool dress (sukman), and a belt.

Upon request, additional elements can be added, such as decorative buckles (pafti), a floral headpiece, coin ornaments (pendari), or the distinctive knitted Tran hat.
